Branding Can
Brickle
I designed Brickle, a community kitchen for the Afro-Caribbean and Jamaican community in Brixton. Food is a big part of Afro-Jamaican culture, but with gentrification, many of these traditions are starting to fade. Younger generations are losing touch with their heritage. Brickle is a space where older and younger Afro-Jamaicans can come together to cook, share meals, and tell stories. Older generations will guide the younger ones, teaching them how to cook traditional dishes and pass down their culture. So Brickle is not just a community kitchen, it is a hub for passing down the knowledge and history behind every Afro-Jamaican dish. It is all about connecting generations, with older community members sharing their rich cultural knowledge and younger generations soaking it all in.
