Designed for 18–34 year olds navigating the rising cost of living, it offers flexible, bookable kitchen pods embedded within urban neighbourhoods — allowing members to prep meals in well-equipped, clean, and welcoming spaces without the burden of expensive utilities or cramped flats.
But The Common isn’t just about access to a stove. It’s a community-powered system where cooking becomes a shared ritual. Through a companion app, members can reserve slots, track pantry essentials, split bulk groceries, or even find nearby users to meal prep with. The service helps reduce food waste, encourages collective resource use, and lowers individual grocery costs by tapping into cooperative behaviour.
